Historic photographs, ranch ledgers, vintage calling cards, paper ephemera, dried botanicals, and carefully chosen miniature elements become the foundation for new pieces that celebrate heritage, creativity, and the stories carried by objects.
These are not reproductions of history. The materials themselves have lived a life before becoming part of something new.
The Experiences
Love in Miniature
Love in Miniature explores connection, beauty, and female creativity through actual vintage calling cards, dried flowers, vintage ephemera, and miniature elements.
During the nineteenth century, calling cards—also known as visiting cards—were an important part of social life. They announced a visit, introduced one person to another, and sometimes carried messages of friendship, affection, or romantic interest. Their typography, illustrations, decorative details, and handwritten additions offer tiny glimpses into another era.
Love in Miniature gives these original pieces a new life. Each creation begins with an authentic vintage calling card and is paired with dried flowers sourced from growers across the United States, along with carefully selected miniature and paper elements.
The result is a small, one-of-a-kind composition that brings together history, nature, and the enduring human desire to connect and create.
Cowgirl in Miniature
Cowgirl in Miniature celebrates American ranching and rodeo heritage and the independent spirit of cowgirl and cowboy life.
Each piece incorporates actual historic ranch photographs, ranch ledger pages, and original ranch ephemera collected from across the United States, combined with miniature western elements to create a small world rooted in genuine history.
Old photographs capture working ranches, families, horses, cattle, landscapes, and moments of everyday life. Ranch ledgers preserve another side of that history—the handwritten records, transactions, names, numbers, and details that kept ranches operating from day to day.
Together, these surviving pieces tell stories of work, land, independence, resilience, community, and tradition.
Cowgirl in Miniature invites participants to work with these authentic materials and create their own interpretation of ranch and rodeo heritage—honoring the people, places, and spirit that shaped cowboy and cowgirl life across America.
